Matthew has around 20 years’ experience in commercial roles, founding companies and running his own businesses.
A lawyer by trade, he ran and then owned his own law firm in London, selling in 2021 to focus on new projects. He has since setup a legal and operational consultancy business, specialising in documentary and contract processes, drafting and management.
He has considerable experience in tech and manufacturing, but has also worked across professional and construction industries.
All companies he has formed in addition to his legal career, have been in the tech space – from cyber security through to software development, and he retains an interest in one (having obtained considerable investment) with a managerial role in another.
As the founder of Silva Lex Ltd, he is now in the second year growing this new business, which specialises in commercial relationships and client support and advice across various industries.
Having moved to the North East from London, having been at University in Newcastle for 4 years early on, he lives with his family on the coast, working remotely and or on site with clients.
