The Bridges Shopping Centre in Sunderland is gearing up to welcome students back to the city with exclusive savings, giveaways and entertainment at this year’s Big Student Shop on Wednesday 23 September.
Running from 3pm - 6pm, the free event promises an afternoon of exclusive retailer discounts, live entertainment featuring a DJ set from Pride Radio, interactive activities and the chance to win prizes with a number of ‘Spin the Wheel’ activations across the malls and in stores.
Students can register in advance to secure their event wristband, with the added incentive of being entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Sunderland Gift Card.
Event highlights include 20% off at participating retailers including Chopstix, Footasylum, JD Sports, New Look, River Island, Schuh, Subway and Yours, alongside a range of exclusive offers across the centre.
Students can also enjoy complimentary popcorn and candyfloss, enjoy beauty and skincare consultations with freebies at Boots, product making sessions at Lush, an in-store tombola at The Perfume Shop and the chance to win a full-size 24” pizza from Slice by snapping an in-store selfie!
Adding to the excitement, students can explore a number of exhibitor stalls including Sunderland Empire, Out North East, Red Sky Foundation, Sunderland BID and JD Gyms, where they can find out what’s happening across the city, pick up more giveaways, take part in challenges and connect with local organisations.
Wristbands can be collected from the check-in desk opposite the O2 store from 2.30pm on the day. The first 200 students to check in will receive a goodie bag, including a voucher for a free Greggs vegan or sausage roll alongside more surprises!
To unlock the unmissable offers, students must present their wristband and valid student ID in participating stores.
