“We welcome the announcements made by the Chancellor in his Budget speech yesterday and the fact that Government recognises there is a long way to go to ensure we have a strong future economy.
“The extension of the furlough scheme, the grants to support the hospitality, leisure and retail and maintaining the VAT cut, along with the business rates relief, are steps in the right direction and vital to ensure that businesses can survive and prosper again when they are fully allowed to re-open.
“It’s of huge importance that every measure is taken to help businesses get through what has been the most challenging year in living memory and we hope the Government continues to give their support to secure jobs across all sectors.”
