SUNDERLAND shoppers can give that special lady in their lives the star treatment this weekend at a free, family event.
The Bridges is celebrating Mother’s Day by offering tired mums the chance to take a break from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a little bit of relaxation this Saturday, 10 March.
Throughout the day, mums can enjoy a free hand or shoulder massage, while the youngsters can head off to a craft zone where they will be able to make paper flower bouquets, cards and wooden photo frames and other keepsakes.
There will also be the chance for the whole family to grab their own special photograph, as radio station Heart North East joins the fun with its photobooth, along with the chance to win a selection of prizes.
Many of the Bridges stores will be joining in the celebrations, and using the day to showcase some of their products and last minute gift ideas.
Samantha Czwordon, marketing manager at the Bridges, is looking forward to welcoming mums from across the city, along with their children.
“Mother’s Day is that one day in the year when we give our mums a day off, so we wanted to mark the occasion with something a little special for all those mums who are coming shopping on Saturday,” she said.
“We want to make sure even the busiest of mums get the chance to be a little bit spoilt, and have also lined up plenty for the rest of the family to enjoy too
“The team will be on hand for most of the day, and we’re looking forward to welcoming mums of all ages this weekend.”
