A LEADING North East shopping centre has lots of fun activities planned to keep visitors thoroughly entertained this month (June).
The Bridges, Sunderland, has unveiled plans to help shoppers keep up to date with major sporting events, along with a game to get dads buzzing for Father’s Day.
Ahead of the big day, from 10am – 4pm on Saturday 16 June, dads will have the opportunity to test their nerves by taking part in a large-scale buzz wire game.
Those taking part in the circuit will receive McCoys crisps and Yorkie bars and entry into a prize draw to win a £100 Bridges gift card.
And sports fans concerned about fitting the World Cup matches around their busy schedules no longer need to worry about missing out while out shopping.
The Bridges will be screening World Cup matches during centre opening hours in its Central Park area opposite the Disney store so that shoppers can keep up to date with the scores.
“June looks set to be a busy month with both Father’s Day and the World Cup and we wanted to plan some fun activities to keep visitors entertained while they are at the Bridges,” said Andy Bradley, Centre Director
“We have organised a fun game for dads to get involved the day before Father’s Day with a chance to win big if they can keep their hands steady.
“And while the World Cup is such a big event, not everyone has the time to keep up and watch it all so we hope our screens will help visitors keep up with everything that is going on while they are out.”
