To celebrate the upcoming release of Detective Pikachu (10.05.19) and not forgetting the upcoming release of Avengers: Endgame (24.04.19), it is time to host our third annual Minicon! Head to Empire Cinemas Sunderland on Saturday 11th May and have your very own ‘Pokémon’ hunt around all our activities at this family fun event.
Activities include (but not limited to) the following:
- Harrys Game Shack who will be giving you the chance to test out their games consoles along with a limited retro games area
- Games tournament fundraiser ran throughout the day with bundles of prizes up for grabs
- Our annual Cosplay Competition with movie merchandise and cinema tickets to be won
- Virtual Reality gaming
- Sponsored vehicles from Wearside Audi
- Meet and greet with Pikachu; See if you can catch our very own Empire Cinemas Pikachu and get a photo too!
- Warhammer Sunderland will be showcasing their models and giving you the chance to create your very own model
- A wide variety of stalls and traders (TBC)
- A Mini Detective Pikachu photo studio
- Katie’s Garden Corner featuring; Superhero slime making, superhero makeovers, superhero colouring and superhero colour in mugs
- Professional costumers
- Live entertainment and radio broadcasting from Spark Sunderland
- Photography and key rings available from LAH Photography Nightlife
Also come dressed in your favourite Cosplay for the chance to win the MiniCon Cosplay 2019 title and a MARVELlous prize bundle! We look forward to taking a Pikachu at the awesome consumes this year has to offer.
