Sunderland Empire and Vaux Brewery are delighted to announce that as of today (Wednesday 28 August 2019) theatregoers will be able to enjoy guest beer, Decent Days And Nights. The beer, produced by locally based company, Vaux Brewery will take centre stage from this week at the venue’s bars as crowds prepare to flock to Sunderland Empire for the opening of worldwide sensation, The Book of Mormon.
The Grade 2 listed venue, which itself is immersed in history is delighted to add this iconic brand to their portfolio of local suppliers, which also include Ringtons and Poetic License Distillery.

Decent Days And Nights is a West Coast-style session IPA and is named after a song by famous Sunderland band, The Futureheads. This beer is all about the hops which give the beer a citrus and pine aroma and at a very sessionable strength of 3.8%. As the name suggests, this is a beer for all occasions, night and day, rain or shine.
VAUX has been a beloved name in Sunderland for almost 200 years. From the earliest incarnation of 'C. Vaux & Sons' in 1837 right through to the Vaux Group years of the 1980's and 90's, the brewery was an important part of city life in Sunderland until its closure in 1999.
The newly formed Vaux Brewery brews an eclectic range of beers of the finest quality, with their beers continuing to grow and evolve as they keep improving them in order to meet their core aim: to make beer that we can all be proud of and put Sunderland back on the beer map.
