Pride in Sunderland are turning Sunniside Gardens into a family pride picnic arena!
Enjoy mini-pride, music, activities, craft stalls, story corner, kids rides, market stalls, food vendors and more.
And there’s a competition for the best fancy dress. So, whether you want to be a princess, superhero or character from your favourite book or film, get dressed up and have fun.
You can bring your own picnic and dogs are welcome but must be on a lead.

The first Sunderland City 10km was held in 2011 with just over 1500 taking part. In 2025, we’re welcoming 4,000 participants to the city streets in a celebration across a range of distances. You can choose the flat and fast 10K, a spring Half Marathon, or the Active Sunderland Big 3K. There’s something for everyone!
