Articles of Association are the written rules, agreed and set by the Board of Directors, which set out the rules on how the company is governed.

The directors present their report and the unaudited financial statements of the company for the year ended 31 March 2025.

The Directors of the BIDs have agreed to the terms of the policy concerning both the appointment and termination of Directors of the Company.

The number one priority of the BID regarding procurement is to invest back in to levy payers and the local economy, wherever possible.

When appointed, all directors are requested to complete a register, detailing information on other directorship, personal interests and family business interests.  This is to ensure complete transparency when discussing issues relating to the Sunderland’s BIDs’ business plan and procurement of contracts.

We engage with our businesses on a regular basis, but if you have any specific feedback you would like to share you are able to.

Sunderland’s BIDs’ Board of Directors meet as a minimum once a quarter.  You can request a copy of the minutes from these meetings.

Following a successful ballot, Sunderland’s City Centre BID launched in April 2014 and in November 2023 the BID had a successful renewal ballot to allow it to run for a third 5-year term.

The Operating Agreement is the formal document agreed between the BID and the Council, setting out the collection and enforcement action associated with the BID Levy.
